Round Island Divers was established in 2007, by John J. Gaffney, who is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer. John has been teaching scuba diving courses since 1981. Round Island Divers was named for a small barrier island just off the coast of Pascagoula, Mississippi. Round Island had a lighthouse which for decades lighted the way to safe harbor for sailors. Just like this lighthouse, Round Island Divers is lighting the way to safe scuba diving in Mississippi. The shop’s mission is to provide safe, professional training, service and equipment. We are the only Platinum Scubapro Dealer on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, as well as a PADI Dive Center.
